Self-Love Is Never Having To Say “I’m Sorry” To Yourself

Self-love is never having to say “I’m sorry” to yourself…for who you are, what you hold true, your opinions, your authentic expression, your emotions, what you’ve said or done, let alone the choices you’ve made.

It is “knowing”, in every moment, that you are doing the best with what you have and that you are your spirit on a journey of discovery.

It is “knowing” that you are creating your life through your thoughts and emotional attention for the purpose of learning and growing into more of yourself.

It is “knowing” that there are no mistakes and no accidents, only opportunities and gifts with every circumstance, comfortable or uncomfortable.

It is “knowing” that despite what others may think, you “know” what’s best for you, what your intentions are, where your heart lies and you act accordingly with confidence.

It is “knowing” that sometimes you’ll forget how to love yourself and when you remember again, you’ll forgive yourself and move forward.

How can you love yourself today?

Beautiful post, Mimi! Loving ourselves really is knowing we can’t ever get it wrong, even on days when we forget who we really are. I start each day asking how I’d love myself today, and the answer varies. Sometimes, it’s making sure I take a talk to stretch my legs. Other days, like today, I hear my inner wisdom telling me to go with the flow and honor whatever feelings may come up. I don’t need to judge them but just notice and accept them as what they are.

Dear Alice, The beauty of everyday is that it’s different and gifts us with the opportunity to try ourselves on in a new way. Self-love goes with the same flow and always gifts us with opportunities as well to meet ourselves lovingly in the ways that are most meaningful in the moment. I don’t always understand it but I always do my best to go with it. It is wonderful to be traveling along with you.
